One year has passed since Goku and his friends defeated Majin Buu and restored peace to the universe. But like it has always been throughout the years of planet Earth, peace does not last. Far away from the blue planet a man awakens from a nap, but this is no ordinary man. He is a member of the race rex, he is a purple cat-like creature named Beerus or more commonly known as Beerus the Destroyer. Falling to the ground from his flying bed Beerus awakens rubbing his eyes. "Lord Beerus," said Beerus's attendant Whis who entered the room. "I see you have finally awoken. Is there a certain planet that you are wanting to destroy?" "Not quite," Beerus replied. "I in fact am looking for a certain warrior to challenge my skills." "In this universe?" "Heh, that's right. He's called . . .!" Beerus seemed to have lost his train of thought. "My lord, maybe you should go back to bed." "Quiet Whis, I'll remember . . . Super." "Super?" "Yes, Super Saiyan Dog!" "Super Saiyan Dog? I suppose that might be a challenge seeing as how you're a cat. I'm surprised Universe 9 hasn't had a dog god of destruction yet. They do seem to be the strongest warriors." "Wait no . . . Super Saiyan something else. What in the blazes?! I can't remember . . ." "Where did you come up with such an absurd idea in the first place." "The oracle fish. Seer!" Flying through the air the oracle fish appeared. "Yes, what is it," Seer asked. "Tell me, what was the name of the warrior that would challenge me on this very day?" "Hmmm, Super Saiyan Dog I believe it was . . . no wait! Super Saiyan god!" "Ah now that's a name! Super Saiyan god!" "Are you quite sure Lord Beerus," Whis asked. "The saiyans have become quite mighty in the universe, but still nothing compared to you." "Have they? Seems unlikely that they could surpass Frieza even with a lifetime of near-death experiences." "Well, they have seemed to of tapped into a power called Super Saiyan. There hair turns blonde and their powers increase exponentially." "Ah that does sound interesting, so did King Vegeta or Prince Vegeta end up killing that moron Frieza?" "No, it was a saiyan that goes by the name Goku. His birth name is Kakarot. It seems he has stopped many large threats along the way through his life, including Majin Buu." "Powerful enough to destroy Majin Buu eh? This man must be mighty. Maybe he can tell me something about this Super Saiyan god. Where are all of the saiyans?" "Well their planet was destroyed, but Goku and Prince Vegeta live on a planet called Earth and have have sons themselves. Those are the only known survivors. It appears that Goku is currently not on the planet though. He seems to be in Other World training on North Kai's planet." "Is he dead?" "No, it seems he's just training there. That'd be how a low-class saiyan could pull ahead of the elite though." "How long will it take to get to North Kai's planet?" "I'd say about 30 minutes." "Hmm, well I suppose I can start watching an anime, one episode for the trip there. Let's go.

"I can't believe Beerus is awake," Old Kai said as him, the Supreme Kai, and Kibito stood on their planet. Previously the Supreme Kai and Kibito were fused, but with the use of the namekian Dragon Balls they were able to unfuse. "I'm worried," Old Kai said. "Why is that," asked Supreme Kai. "Honestly he will never do anything to harm us." "That's not what I mean. Can't you think of a certain fool that would challenge Lord Beerus?" "Oh no! Goku! We must pinpoint his location immediately . . . it seems he's on North Kai's planet." "Of all the places! North Kai, can you here me? "Yes I hear you loud and clear Old Kai," said the North Kai. "It seems that he has awakened and unfortunately Goku is here." "Good then you understand why these two must not meet." "I'll do my best to keep it a secret from Goku."
"Keep what a secret from me," asked Goku walking up to the North Kai. "Err, I was just talking about alcohol." "Huh, what kind?" "What do you care? You don't drink!" "I have before . . . but it wasn't very good. Beer or something." "That's what it was, Lord Beers!" "Lord Beers? Sounds more like a person to me." "N-no its a drink!" "Hmm, nah you wouldn't sound so frantic if it was about alcohol. Haha, I know you're hiding something from me! What did Frieza come back from the dead and become more powerful?" "Actually he was probably warning you about me," said a booming voice from behind Goku and North Kai. They both turned to see Whis and Beerus. "Ah Lord Beerus," said King Kai bowing. "It's such a pleasure to see you again." "So you say," Beerus replies. "Ah, hey," Goku said running up to him. "My name's Goku and I'm a saiyan from Earth!" "Hmm, so freely giving out your identity like that, I think I like you." "Uhh, Goku watch your manners," King Kai yelled. "Why?" "This man . . . cat is the god of destruction. He could destroy you with his fingernail!" "That strong huh?" "I actually came to this small planet for you Goku," said Beerus. "I wanted to ask you if you have ever heard of a Super Saiyan Dog!" "A Super Saiyan Dog?" "I believe it was god," Whis whispered to Beerus. "Ah yes," Beerus replied. "A Super Saiyan god!" "Nope." "What?! Well, maybe Prince Vegeta will have an answer for you. This is farewell then saiyan." "W-wait . . . fight me!"

"Fight you?" Beerus asked. "Heh, not once in my entire life as a deity have I been challenged by a human. I will gladly except your challenge, but I warn you not to hold back." "Heh, don't worry about me!" Goku charged towards Beerus throwing his fist forwards. Beerus nodded his head to the side as Goku's fists came flying for Beerus's face. "Stop," Beerus said. Goku hopped back. "You couldn't even beat Frieza with this kind of power. I understand that you undergo some sort of transformation, show me!" "Well, you asked for it! Hyah!" Goku burst into a Super Saiyan flying towards Beerus throwing more punches. "Hah! Is that all you got," asked Beerus dodging all of Goku's attacks. "Come on, is that truly your full power!" Goku shot back transforming into a Super Saiyan 2. "This is called Super Saiyan 2," Goku yelled. "With this power you'll have to fight back! Hyahhhh!" Goku shot like a bullet towards Beerus with his fist forwards. "You're fast," Beerus said catching Goku's fist. "But not fast enough." "Hey let go of my arm!" Goku struggled to release his arm from Beerus's grasp, until Beerus had let go. "It seems I have no choice then. Super Saiyan 3." "Super Saiyan 3?" "Hyaaaaaaahhhhhhh! With this, I won't lose! KA-ME-HA-ME-HAAAAAA!!!!!!" Goku unleashed his ultimate attack towards Beerus. "I won't dodge this one," Beerus said. A direct hit, the blast had hit Beerus on with full force. "How was that," Goku asked. "Well," Beerus said. "You are definitely far above the average warrior. I'm not surprised that you were able to defeat Majin Buu or Frieza. But it's a shame that this is the climax of your power, it's too bad that you didn't have that Old Kai give you a boost. I sense that he's out of the Z-Sword now, but that's not a direction your saiyans would take. Far too prideful, but without a doubt you could stand up to me with that power . . . well at least in my current suppressed state." "Suppressed? Darn it . . . well, it seems I have no other choice then." "Hmm?" "I'll have to use the ultimate saiyan transformation! It's the final Super Saiyan step! Ultimate Super Saiyan if you will or if you're into numbers then just Super Saiyan 4!" "Super Saiyan 4?" "Gyahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!" Goku's energy burst into an incredible new power. New heights have been reached for Goku. "His hair isn't growing," Beerus said confused. "This transformation is different than all of the rest. His hair is longer than normal, but shorter than Super Saiyan 3. So this is the Ultimate Super Saiyan transformation? I'm impressed, I truly am." "All right then Beerus, let's go!" Goku flew towards Beerus slamming his fist into Beerus's face. "Lord Beerus struck," Whis exclaimed in shock. "There's more where that came from," Goku yelled throwing several punches to Beerus's gut then finishing him off by slamming him to the ground with a sledgehammer attack. Shooting up from the ground Beerus slammed his fist into Goku's chin knocking him into the air. "I'm impressed saiyan," Beerus said gripping Goku's shirt. "I'm surprised that you were able to push me to 5 percent of my power." "5 percent?" "Heh, well done." Beerus chucked one more punch into Goku's chest knocking him unconcious. Beerus dropped Goku and flew down to the ground. "Well that was rather interesting," Beerus said. "But still no Super Saiyan god. Perhaps Prince Vegeta can help, but I doubt it. Well, to Planet Earth."

Vegeta can you hear me," King Kai asked Vegeta who was training vigorously within the gravity chamber. "What in the world do you want," Vegeta asked. "Well . . . we have some bad news. There's a man by the name of Lord Beerus the Destroyer who is on his way to Earth. You cannot let him get angry no matter what or he'll destroy Earth." "Hm? Who Beerus the Destroyer? Blow up the Earth? Sounds like a worthy adversary, although I swear I've heard that name somewhere." "Lord Beerus is not someone you can fight Vegeta, he defeated Goku effortlessly and Goku even used some technique that far surpassed Super Saiyan 3, Super Saiyan 4." Super Saiyan 4? Kakarot obtained a power like that? Fine I'll make sure that Beerus doesn't cause any issues . . . this is not a good time, it's my wife's birthday party." "Thanks Vegeta, the fate of Earth rests squarely on your shoulders."
Vegeta exited the gravity chamber and walked out to his yard where the party was being held. Friends throughout the years were gathered celebrating Bulma's birthday. Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Krillin, Ox-King, Chi Chi, Piccolo, Dende, Hercule, Videl, #18 and many others were gathered. "What is the occasion," said a voice behind Vegeta. Vegeta turned around and began to sweat at the sight of Beerus. "Uh-uh L-lord Beerus, it's been a while." Vegeta's memories of the destroyer resurfaced. Back then Vegeta remembers when Beerus had easily crushed King Vegeta, Vegeta's father, to the floor with ease. "I asked what the occassion was," Beerus asked. "Oh!" Vegeta replied. "It's my wife's wedding, t-there is plenty of wo-nderful food! Eat your fill!" "I'll do that, but I came to ask you a specific question." "A question?" "Yes, tell me have you ever heard of a Super Saiyan god?" "Hold on, a Super Saiyan god?" "Hmm, I suppose not. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, well you saiyans sure are a let down race." Beerus and Whis brushed passed Vegeta and went to eat food. While they enjoyed themselves many people went and talked to them including Bulma. "Lord Beerus," Whis rang. "Yes what is it Whis?" "You just have to try this creamy confection they call pudding?" "Huh, pudding?! The name itself sounds like a delicacy. Let us feast!" The two of them walked up to the vendor asking for pudding. "Uh sorry sir, but that big pink fellow over there took them all." Beerus and Whis walked over to that big pink guy named Majin Buu. "Hello good sir, but would you mind sharing two of your pudding cups from your large collection there," Whis asked. "No," Majin Buu grunted. "All pudding cups are Buu's. Buu's not yours! Buu's!" "What a rude guest," Beerus snapped. "Let me put this simple for you, you fat tub of lard. Give me a pudding cup or I'll shoot your face off." Buu tipped the plate up and swallowed all of the pudding cups. "Hah!" "How dare you, you swine!" Beerus gripped Buu's neck and began pounding on him. "I'll make you regret the day you came into existence." Ending it Beerus blew Buu away with a ki blast. "Oh no," Vegeta said. "I take you're quite angry now," Whis asked. "Furious," Beerus replied.

"It's time for me to destroy your planet," Beerus announced. "W-what," Piccolo exclaimed. "P-please Lord Beerus, reconsider," Vegeta asked. "Don't talk to me," Beerus spat making Vegeta flinch and put his head down. "Someone that makes even Vegeta whimper in fear," Piccolo said astonished. "Why can't I feel his energy? Is he?" Piccolo looked down at Dende who was shivering. "H-he's a god . . . a god of destruction," Dende said. "A god," Piccolo exclaimed. "Well, I'm not going down without a fight!" Piccolo flew towards Beerus launching his fist forward. Beerus took the blow taking no damage. Then he flicked Piccolo in the forehead with his finger knocking Piccolo away. Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and Android 18 launched themselves towards Beerus next. Easily Beerus brushed all of their attacks aside and slammed them away. "Hey ugly," said a voice behind Beerus. It was none other than Super Saiyan Gotenks who Goten and Trunks had fused into. "Hyaaaaahhhhh!!!!" Gotenks transformed into a Super Saiyan 3. "Is that all the power you can muster?" Beerus asked. "Why you," Gotenks yelled. "I'll teach you a lesson you crybaby kitty!" Gotenks darted at Beerus with incredible speed, his power had increased even more than his fight with Majin Buu. "Pathetic," said Beerus swiping Gotenks away with a single blow. "You've taken things too far," said Gohan stepping up to Beerus. "No, Gohan stop," said Vegeta who was on his knees. "It's all right Vegeta, I can handle this. Hyahhh!" Gohan released his full power and flew towards Beerus. "I see, so that Old Kai had your power unlocked. What a pity, it seems that little brat I just fought is more powerful than you." Beerus head-butted Gohan crashing him into the Earth. "I suppose I'll kill you first." "Stop," yelled Vegeta flying over. "You still haven't fought me!" Straight to Super Saiyan 2, Vegeta began attacking Beerus. "Enough," Beerus yelled kicking Vegeta in the chin knocking him on his back. "I'm done playing games!" Beerus began charging an energy beam to kill Vegeta. "Well . . . it took the strongest in the universe to kill me at least," Vegeta said closing his eyes.
Suddenly Bulma slapped Beerus on the face. Vegeta's eyes flew open staring at the two of them. "No, Bulma run," Vegeta yelled. "You jerk," Bulma yelled. "You're ruining my birthday party." "Stupid Earth woman," Beerus said slapping her back through the air. "Gwah! Y-you, how dare you! How dare you hit my BuLMA!" Vegeta stood up with energy shooting around him more than he ever had before. "This transformation," Beerus said. "It's the same as that Super Saiyan 4 the other saiyan used. Vegeta bolted slamming his fist into Beerus's face. Then Vegeta began throwing punches left and right beating Beerus, until Beerus caught his next punch and kicked him back. "The same I had to do against your saiyan friend, bump my power up by 5%. I am rather impressed. It seems you attained the same power he had through rage. So much potential, but I'll kill all of you here and now.

Beerus flew up into the sky preparring his attack to destroy planet Earth. Everyone huddled together staring up at Beerus. "Say goodbye to your planet," Beerus yelled. "Wait," yelled someone. It was none other than Goku who flew down in front of everyone. "You again, huh," Beerus asked. "What do you want?" "There's something I want to try! I think there's a way that I can summon this Super Saiyan god!" "What? Very well, I'll give you five minutes." "Thanks! Bulma, I need to borrow your dragon radar to gather the Dragon Balls quickly." "Huh, don't worry about that Goku," Bulma said. "We already have the Dragon Balls here. They were supposed to be the number one prize for the bingo tournament, but if you can use them to save us then do it!" "Thanks Bulma." Bulma gathered the Dragon Balls onto the ground and stepped back. "Arise Shenron," Goku yelled. Beerus and Whis flew down to the ground awaiting the saiyan. Shenorn appeared from the Dragon Balls shining his glow on them all. "I will grant you any three wishes that you desire, state them so that I may go." "Uh hey Shenron, we need your help. Can you bring us or can you tell us about the Super Saiyan god?" "Is that your wish?" "Shut up and answer his question," said Beerus. Shenron looked over towards Beerus and began to shudder. "Wha! Lord Beerus, uh yes certainly. I shall tell you all about the Super Saiyan god. There has only ever been one in this universe and he existed many many years ago. He gathered up the energy of five other pure hearted saiyans and became a Super Saiyan god from their strength. Easily the man had defeated all of those saiyans, but the saiyans were great in number and eventually the god form had expired and the man was obliterated and the other pure hearted warriors were treated like dirt and were called low-class saiyans." "So that's the origin," Vegeta said. "So there's no current Super Saiyan god that exists," Goku asked. "No," Shenron replied. "If that will be all, then I'll take my leave. Lord Beerus."
"So what now?" Beerus asked. "It's simple," Goku said. "We'll just use five saiyans to create a Super Saiyan god." "Impossible," said Piccolo. "Goten and Gohan are the only pure hearted saiyans here." "Are you insinuating that Goku isn't pure," Chi Chi asked. "Just not of logic," Roshi said. "And what about Vegeta and Trunks," Bulma asked. "I don't think it matters," Dende said. "It's overall goodness that matters and I think all five of them fit that perfectly." "Even angry man," Buu asked looking at Vegeta. "Gah, shut up," Vegeta spat. "Well then, shall we try it," Goku exclaimed.

Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, and Trunks all gathered around Goku and placed their hands on his back and transformed into Super Saiyans. As they finished Goku's energy had rosen exponentially, but it wasn't enough. "Hmm, I'm not a god," said Goku. "You misunderstood what the dragon said," Whis explained. "You have to have five saiyans pour their power into one. Meaning you need one more saiyan." "One more? But there are no more saiyans." "W-well there is one more saiyan out there," Vegeta said embarrassed. "What," everyone said shocked. "Vegeta, don't tell me you have another child," Bulma snapped. "No! He's . . . he's my little brother." "V-vegeta has a brother," Goku said. "Where is he? How do we find him?" "I don't know, our father sent him to some far off planet because he was too weak!" "Maybe King Kai can help," Goku exclaimed transporting to his planet. "Hey King Kai have you been watching?" "Yeah I've been watching," he replied. "And I found Vegeta's brother, just sense in that direction. I already told him all about what's going on and he said he'd be more than happy to be reunited with his brother." "Sounds good." Goku transported to Tarble's location then transported him to Earth. "Here he is," Goku exclaimed. "Vegeta," Tarble announced with excitment. "Get back," Vegeta said. "First we have to defeat Beerus, then we can catch up." "R-right." Tarble burst into a Super Saiyan and placed his hand on Goku's back. They all re-attempted on creating the Super Saiyan god.
Energy flowed through Goku and a red aura began to grow changed his hair to base form then from black to red. "He did it the saiyans announced as Goku flew up then came back down." "Super Saiyan Red," Goten said. "What an interesting name," said Whis. "Super Saiyan Red." "Super Saiyan Red, Super Saiyan god, whatever the name this is the warrior I was waiting for," said Beerus. "Let's see just how far your powers have reached." "Yeah, let's do it!"

"Hyahhhhh!" Goku charged his new energy and burst into Beerus beginning their fight. Flying into the air the two gods began exchanging blows fighting evenly. "Your power has reached new heights indeed," Beerus said as they pushed each other back and forth. "Yeah," Goku replied quietly kicking Beerus in the chin then punching him in the gut. "You sound disappointed," Beerus replied slamming his fist into Goku's chest and hitting him down. Goku bolted up nailing Beerus in the chest. "I AM! I found a power that I can never reach on my own and I hate that." "Heh, so why do it then?" Beerus flew towards Goku throwing a punch at his face. Goku blocked it and kicked him in the chest. "So I can beat you . . . that is the sole reason. Even though I'm throwing away my pride to gain new powers, I'm doing it all for the sake of my family and friends!" Clashing again the two fighters landed beneath the Earth inside a large cave. "You'll have to be stronger than that if you want to save this planet," said Beerus. "Gahhhh!" Goku's speed heightened and he began punching Beerus harder slamming him upward. "I WILL NOT LET YOU DESTROY MY WORRRRRLLLLLLDDDDD!!!!" Beerus was slammed into the air heading straight for the stratosphere. "Gah! I'm impressed," said Beerus as the two of them floated facing each other. "Heh, that's your full power isn't it?" "What? Don't tell me this guy still has even more power hidden. Take this Beerus! KAAAAA-MEEEEE-HAAAAA-MEEEEE . . . HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!" Goku unleashed a full power Kamehameha wave upon Beerus to defeat him. The beam hit Beerus head on injuring him. As the smoke cleared Beerus had his own large attack charged. "Heh, this attack will destroy you along with Earth," said Beerus launching the blast at Goku. "N-no!" Goku caught the blast with his hands and as soon as he did he reverted to his base form. "Your god form as expired," said Beerus. "D-darn it!! I'm not letting it end like this!" "There's nothing you can do saiyan." "Erk! Gaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!" Goku's Super Saiyan Red energy was momentarily restored and Goku launched a large ki blast from his hands shooting the blast away and with that he reverted back to his base form and fell towards the Earth. Whis had then caught him. "So, are you really going to blow up the Earth," Whis asked. "No," Beerus replied. "I've seen what he can do, I want you to train him and Vegeta to be able to fight against me." "Why did you tell them that you were using 5% against them earlier? You know that after training with me they will be well above that mathematically." "Gives them some incentive, if they fought together at that strength they'd be able to defeat me. Well, let's head down to Earth and give them this saiyan back." "When should I take the saiyans to train. Take me home then go get them whenever you please, I want to sleep." "Very well Lord Beerus."

A month had passed since Goku had fought Beerus and since then Goku had thought about ways that he could attain the same Super Saiyan Red power again. His best option was to be trained by Whis, but unfortunately Goku had no way of contacting Whis. Vegeta was in a similar position as well. But luckily enough for him he was about to encounter Whis. Vegeta walking on the streets in West City peered to his right into a restaurant. There inside was Whis and Bulma. "W-whis," Vegeta exclaimed. Vegeta burst into the restaurant astonished to see Whis on Earth stuffing his face. "W-what're you doing here?" "I came to eat at the invite of Miss Bulma," said Whis. "H-how did you even contact him Bulma?" "It was simple really, all I had to do was call his name and hold up food." "Haha, I'm afraid it's true," Whis said. "Listen Whis," Vegeta said. "P-please let me train under you!" "Yes, I was waiting for this actually. Lord Beerus has taken quite an interest in you and Goku. He himself told me to train you two so that you could become worthy rivals for my lord." "So you accept?!" "Yes, of course. But first we must fetch Goku." "But what about the food," Bulma asked. "I'll take it to go," Whis replied. Shortly afterwards they appeared at Goku's radish farm where Goku was training. "Huh, Whis and Vegeta too," Goku said. "Hello Goku," Whis said. "I have decided to take you and Vegeta on as my disciples. It won't be easy, but I expect you to give it your all. Maybe one day one of you can succeed Beerus as the god of destruction. "W-what," Goku and Vegeta exclaimed. "Well then, shall we be off? Miss Bulma provided Vegeta with some new armor, so I suppose it's only fitting that I give you some new clothing as well once we being training Goku." "Right," Goku said. "First let me tell Chi Chi though." Goku used instant transmission to Chi Chi's location at their house. "Hey Chi Chi, I'm going to go train with Whis!" "What," yelled Chi Chi. Goku transported back to Whis and Vegeta. "All right, I'm ready to go!"

"This is it Tagoma," said Sorbet. "The eternal dragon!" "I will grant you three wishes," Shenron said. "State them so I may go." "I wish for the resurrection of my lord Frieza!" "Uhh, I can do this, but he will be restored in the state he died in . . . chopped up." "That doesn't matter Sorbet," said Tagoma. "With our regeneration system he'll be whole again in no time." "Right," said Sorbet. "Do it anyways!" "As you wish," Shenron boomed. Pieces of Frieza fell from the sky and the two of them collected them storing them in a cooler. "State your second wish," said Shenron. "Second wish, I guess I'm not sure," said Sorbet. "Wait, I wish for the world's best ice cream," yelled a voice from behind. It was none other than Shu was now a young pup and was with Emperor Pilaf and Mai. "What're you doing," yelled Sorbet. "I wish for ten million zeni," yelled Mai using up the third wish. "Why you!" "Stop Sorbet," said Tagoma. "We haven't got time for this, we need to restore Frieza to his full body immediately!" "You're right," said Sorbet. The two of them rushed off into their space pod and headed into space. It's been a month now since Goku and Vegeta started their training and it seemed that Frieza was back.
"He's restored," said Sorbet viewing Frieza's body that was now fully healed. Frieza opened his eyes and shattered the glass. "Well, well," said Frieza. "It's about time that I was resuscitated. You all sure took your sweet time." "We're sorry Lord Frieza, but it took us a while to get the necessary technology and to find a good time to retrieve the Dragon Balls from Earth." "Hmm, I see well I suppose it'll have to do. I better start training though." "Training?" "That's right, to exact my revenge on those monkeys!" "Are you sure about that," asked Tagoma. "Those so called monkeys are at an insane level, the one called Goku defeated Majin Buu!" "What?! He's come that far? Well, no matter I will be able to defeat him anyways." "Fool," Tagoma whispered under his breath. Frieza shot a beam through his knees knocking him onto the ground. "Tch, what a moron. Speaking to the mighty Frieza like that! Who is this imbecile anyways?" "He is Tagoma," said Sorbet. "Him and Shisami are warriors that surpass even Captain Ginyu." "Is that a fact? Well I think I have a training partner then. A whole year, that's how long I'll train. Then I'll exact my revenge!"
